I'll help and show a group picture of my sister's Brownie Troop, taken about 1986 / 7, I think.
As you can see, are not exactly the norm, but the above are not entirely wrong in their descriptions. However, a picture is worth a thousand words, as they say!
Brownie uniform in 1982 was still very traditional - brown dress, brown leather belt with a leather case. Cross-yellow tie with a silver badge on the promise Sixers, six of their specific "badge on the left the word" or "secondary bands" under "Record Voyage" (roads, highways, freeway, I think it was the classifications) on the right.
